Chris Sharville: Horley, Surrey, United Kingdom; Since my teens, when my father first taught me to draw, I have have been lucky enough to earn my living as a graphic artist, designer, illustrator and cartoonist. I was trained in various London studios and studied at The London College of Printing, Goldsmiths College, Morley College and West Dean in Sussex. In 1981 I set up the Laker Sharville Design Associates studio in London with my friend David Laker. My work has involved creating design and artwork for a wide range of interesting clients. Being able to earn my living this way also allows me to explore ideas and make artwork that interest me. I am lucky enough to work closely with many artist friends, including my brothers, who are artists, designers and writers (Tim, Simon and Paul Sharville) and my daughter Jessica Sharville who is developing as a highly distinctive artist.
